ALSTROEMERIA sp. Summer Pepper

ALSTROEMERIA sp. Summer Pepper

Alstroemeria sp. ‘Summer Pepper’ is a clump-forming perennial valued for its long season of colourful, trumpet-like blooms from early summer into autumn. Ideal for mixed borders and containers in Ireland, it thrives in full sun to light shade in moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Keep the soil evenly moist during growth, feed regularly to support repeat flowering, and remove spent stems to prolong the display. Plant deeply and mulch in late autumn to protect the crown, and avoid waterlogging; stems are excellent for cutting.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
