Agapanthus 'Fireworks'

Agapanthus 'Fireworks'

Agapanthus ‘Fireworks’ is a striking bicolour African lily, bearing large rounded heads of white flowers with deep blue-violet at the base of each floret, held on sturdy stems above clumps of strappy green leaves. Flowering from mid to late summer in Ireland, it delivers strong architectural impact in sunny borders and is excellent in containers. Grow in full sun in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil. In colder inland parts of Ireland, apply a dry winter mulch over the crown and protect container plants from severe frost; deadhead spent stems to extend the display and feed in spring and early summer for best performance.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
