Growing rhubarb:
Plant your potted crowns anytime during the year (only the dormant ones need to be planted in Spring). The tip of the crown should remain visible.
Harvesting: do not harvest the first year, and pick only a few stems the following year to allow the plant to become more vigourous. In general, never harvest more than a third of the plant at a time or we'll get the rhubarb police to your door and then you'll be sorry.

Position: Full sun to partial shade
Soil: Moist but well-drained, well-drained
Harvest season: March and April
NB: Leave plenty of space between plants (1.5m) if you are planting more than one.
