Rhododendron 'Ginny Gee' 20-25 cm.

Rhododendron 'Ginny Gee' 20-25 cm.

Rhododendron ‘Ginny Gee’ is a compact, slow-growing evergreen rhododendron valued for its profuse spring display of small trusses bearing white to pale pink flowers, often deeper pink at the edges. Ideal for Ireland’s mild, moist conditions, it thrives in partial shade with shelter from hot afternoon sun. Grow in moist but well-drained, humus-rich, acidic (ericaceous) soil; avoid lime. Its neat, low mound is perfect for the front of borders, containers with ericaceous compost, or a rock garden setting. Mulch annually with leafmould or pine needles to conserve moisture and protect its shallow roots, water in dry spells (rainwater is best in hard-water areas), and deadhead spent trusses to keep plants tidy.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
