PITTOSPORUM T. VICTORIA

PITTOSPORUM T. VICTORIA

Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Victoria’ is a versatile evergreen shrub valued for its neat habit and year-round foliage interest. In Irish gardens it thrives in sun or light shade and in fertile, moist but well-drained soil, producing small, dark purple-toned, honey-scented flowers in late spring to early summer. Best in a mild, sheltered position out of cold, drying winds, it is useful as an informal screen, background shrub, or for light clipping to maintain shape; prune after the risk of frost if needed.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
