A compact evergreen shrub with small narrow green leaves. The new foliage emerges bright red and matures to green edged with cream. It blooms in spring and the small, bell-like, white flowers are held in clusters. Suitable for the border or container on the patio. This shrub requires an acidic soil or can be planted in ericaceous compost. Annual feeding with a fertilizer suitable for ericaceous plants may be required depending on soil. Remove dead flower clusters so berries do not form. This will encourage better flowering the following year.
