PIERIS Forest Flame 3ltr Pot

PIERIS Forest Flame 3ltr Pot

Pieris ‘Forest Flame’ is a slow-growing, bushy evergreen shrub prized for its striking spring foliage: brilliant fire-red new leaves mature through pink and cream to glossy green, and are complemented by drooping clusters of small, white, bell-shaped flowers in spring. Best in Ireland’s gardens in a sheltered spot with partial shade and reliably moist but free-draining, humus-rich acidic (ericaceous) soil, it is ideal for acid borders, woodland-style planting and large containers of ericaceous compost. Ultimately forms a dense shrub to around 2–4m tall and wide in time; minimal pruning is needed, just light shaping after flowering if required.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
