Juniperus squa. 'Blue Star' 25-30 cm.

Juniperus squa. 'Blue Star' 25-30 cm.

Juniperus squamata ‘Blue Star’ is a compact, slow-growing dwarf conifer forming a dense, rounded mound of short, silvery-blue, evergreen needles. It thrives in full sun, in well‑drained soil, and is ideal for rock and gravel gardens, the front of borders, and containers where its cool blue foliage provides year-round structure and contrast. Fully hardy in Ireland and generally low-maintenance, it benefits from good drainage and an open, sunny position to maintain its best colour.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
