Fatsia japonica Spiders Web

Fatsia japonica ‘Spider’s Web’ is an evergreen, architectural shrub prized for its large, palmately lobed leaves that are mottled and edged with white, brightening shaded spots throughout the year. In autumn it bears rounded clusters of small, creamy-white flowers that may be followed by small black berries. Best in a sheltered position with fertile, moist but well‑drained soil, it thrives in partial to full shade and forms a bushy plant to around 2.5m high and wide over time, bringing bold texture and year‑round structure to shaded Irish gardens.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
