Edgeworthia chrysantha ‘Honey’ is prized for its clusters of rich yellow, powerfully fragrant flowers that open on bare stems in late winter to early spring, bringing luminous colour and scent when little else is in bloom. Grow in sun or light shade in a sheltered spot with moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil that is preferably acid; avoid shallow chalk. Deciduous foliage follows the flowers, forming a rounded, elegant shape that offers strong architectural interest.
