DODONEA visc. Purpurea

Dodonaea viscosa ‘Purpurea’ (Purple hop bush) is an evergreen, upright shrub prized for its rich purple foliage, colouring best in full sun. In mild areas it makes a striking specimen, hedge or screen; small, inconspicuous flowers are followed by papery winged capsules for extra interest. Grow in a warm, well-drained site (tolerates light shade) and avoid waterlogging; in colder regions provide shelter from hard frost.
