BETULA JACQUEMONTII

BETULA JACQUEMONTII

BETULA JACQUEMONTII

Betula utilis var. jacquemontii is prized for its brilliant white bark that peels in papery sheets, providing striking year‑round interest. This elegant, deciduous birch has a light, open canopy with fine branches and fresh green leaves that turn yellow in autumn. Yellow male catkins appear in spring with the new foliage. A reliable, fully hardy tree for modern and traditional gardens alike, it thrives in full sun or light shade on moist, well‑drained, moderately fertile soil, making an excellent specimen or planted in groups for architectural effect.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
